It's the end of National Pet Week, so hopefully you remembered to give your pet a nice treat or toy to celebrate. Each year the AVMA has a different theme for National Pet Week and a contest for kids. Next year's theme is “Barks, Purrs, Tweets, Neighs… Pets Speak Love Many Ways.” Check out this website for more details if you'd like your child to participate or have a classroom of kids that you need to keep busy on these last few days of school: http://www.avmaaux.org/national-pet-week/ There are two different contests: a poster contest and a creative writing contest. It's for kids in K-12 and the deadline is June 17th. Also, if you would like to participate and your child needs more immediate results, stop by the clinic, and I'll give them a sucker and a place to hang their art or writing. It's a great excuse for a sugar break for me during the day. Have a great week and let the creative juices flow!
